2019 Wee Folk Camping Reservation - May 25-27

from 8.00

Welcome to the 2nd annual Wee Folk Forest Family Camping Trip, held this year at the Rifleman Phillips Group Campground at Golden Gate State Park in Golden, CO, Saturday-Monday, May 25-27 (Memorial Day Weekend). This is such a special time to spend together, singing around the campfire, cooking food together, hiking and playing in the trees.

The campground is tent-only, and is charged by the person—so every member of your family is counted in our final numbers (even babies!). We are limited to the first 75 people who make a reservation, so act quickly to save your spot! The cost is $8 per person and includes both nights of camping.

Please note that you will be charged a $7/day vehicle pass charge when you get to the park. Make sure to get your pass before coming up to the campground… Dogs are allowed, but must be on a 6 ft leash at all times. Please only bring dogs who are friendly and reliable with children.

Additional Info from the Park:

Rifleman Phillips Group Campground is located at an elevation of 8,800 feet. Summer temperatures can vary from a high of 80 degrees during the day to nighttime lows in the 40s. The campground is located in a 50-year-old stand of lodge pole pines and is restricted to tents only. The facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, and dispersed camping areas. There is a hand pump well and a vault toilet. There is parking for up to 15 vehicles. There are two major trails leading from the campground that will take you to interesting places such as Forgotten Valley, Dude’s Fishing Hole, City Lights Ridge and Frazer Meadow. Your group is always welcome to attend the weekend campfire programs at Reverend’s Ridge (Memorial Day through Labor Day only).

We look forward to spending Memorial Day weekend together!
