BRAMBLE HEDGE TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN

Bramble Hedge Transitional Kindergarten

For Curious Children ages 5 and 6

*All children ages 5 & 6 are eligible for Wee Folk Forest OR Bramble Hedge Transitional Kindergarten. Sometimes called a “Gap Year” before kindergarten, this speaks to the practice of intentionally delaying a child's enrollment by one year to allow for further social, emotional, and/or academic maturation.

Bramble Hedge Transitional Kindergarten is an offshoot program of Wee Folk Forest. Any child ages 5 or 6 is eligible to attend this special “Gap Year” program. Choose from a flexible enrollment of 3, 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30-3:30pm.

Please attend an upcoming prospective parent meeting for more information or contact us!

More Information:

Our unique seasonally inspired programming meets children where they are as individuals, with grace for continued social-emotional development and building the "muscles" of kindness, curiosity, skills, and executive function. We celebrate each child and their special contribution to the Bramble Hedge and Wee Folk Forest community, and believe in the power of love, relationships and joy as the best way for humans to spend their days. As families in community together, we are dedicated to lifting each other up.

An important aspect of our program are the monthly community events which bring us together through the various seasons of the year, as well as parent engagement through our connection networks. We ask that our forest families make every effort to come to each community event and to commit to at least one connection network, so we may give a message to our children AND ourselves, about the importance of slowing down and spending time together, in community, in nature.
