2022 Wee Folk Camping Reservation - May 28-30
Welcome to the 3rd annual Wee Folk Forest Family Camping Trip, held this year at the Pickle Gulch Campground in Black Hawk, CO, Saturday-Monday, May 28-30 (Memorial Day Weekend). This is such a special time to spend together, singing around the campfire, cooking food together, hiking and playing in the trees.
The campground is tent-only, and is charged by the person—so every member of your family is counted in our final numbers (even babies!). We are limited to the first 60 people who make a reservation, so act quickly to save your spot! The cost is $10 per person and includes both nights of camping. We are unclear as to whether there will be a limit on cars or a cost to parking, but will keep you updated.
Dogs are allowed, but must be on a 6 ft leash at all times, when not in your tent. Please only bring dogs who are friendly and reliable with children.
Once we have arrived, we will designate a "quiet area" for those with babies/early to bed children. But bring your battery-powered sound machines for sure, just to have the best chance at sleep, no matter what's going on around. As a community, we will establish quiet hours and be kind to each other, but we can't guarantee that everyone at the other campsites will be on the same page. : )
We'll also create a community hub with shade canopies. If you have a shade canopy that you're willing to use for the community that weekend, please let me know--we could use a couple of extra ones.
Let's do this! There are bear boxes where we will keep our food, and water pumps. We'll send a recommended camping packing list sometime in early May.
